How are fiberglass storage tanks made?

Fiberglass reinforced plastic tanks are either filament wound or hand laid. The fibers are interwoven into a connecting yarn, which is wound on a spool. In this spool, the fibers form a layer of resin-added fiberglass that keeps them bound together. Fiberglass tanks are constructed with seams (due to wrapping).
